GreenSlipInsurance.com.au explains NSW green slips, also called compulsory third party (CTP) insurance, in plain English. It's operated by Dominet BV.
GreenSlipInsurance.com.au is a general information site operated by Dominet BV. This page is general information only and is not financial, legal or insurance advice. It does not consider your objectives, financial situation or needs. We are not an insurer or broker, we don't sell green slips and we don't recommend any insurer. SIRA (the State Insurance Regulatory Authority) is the official source of green slip information in NSW, so check its website or your insurer before you act. Facts were checked on 30 October 2026. Read our general information notice.
Why this site exists
Green slips are compulsory, but the rules sit across several places. SIRA explains the scheme and runs the Price Check, Service NSW handles registration, the law sits on the NSW legislation website, and each insurer has its own pages. We bring those facts together on one site, in plain language, with a link to the official page behind each one.
What we do
- Explain how green slips work: what they cover, how prices are made up, renewing with rego, refunds and CTP claims.
- Point you to the official tools, mainly SIRA's free Green Slip Price Check.
- Publish neutral fact sheets on the licensed insurers, using only facts from SIRA and each insurer's own website.
- Date every fact and list our sources on every page.
What we don't do
- We don't sell green slips or any other insurance.
- We don't give quotes, run a price calculator or collect your details.
- We don't rank insurers or suggest which one to choose.
- We don't give personal advice. For a decision about your own situation, use the official sources or speak to your insurer.
Who runs it
The site is operated by Dominet BV. Dominet BV is not an insurer, a broker or an authorised representative of any insurer. As at 30 October 2026, it doesn't receive payments from insurers.
How we keep it accurate
Every page shows when it was published, updated and last reviewed. Facts come from SIRA, Service NSW, NSW Government and NSW legislation pages, or the insurer's own website for insurer facts. If we can't check a fact on one of those, we leave it out. Our research and sources page explains the process in full.
